An important technique to improve the speed and quality of your Photoshop work is using the lock and unlock function. Sometimes when you try to click on a layer, it is impossible. You end up clicking the layer on top of it or the layer that is larger, and it seems impossible to select the right layer. One of the best things to do in these cases is to lock layers that you don’t want to use.
Another option is to create a locked group. Create a folder in the layer panel and lock it using the same steps as above. Whenever you have a layer that is completed or that you temporarily want untouchable, move it into the locked folder.
